Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series were delighted yesterday as brand new trailers were released by Rockstar Games. Each centres around protagonists Michael, Franklin and Trevor and gives us a little insight into their role in the title. Watch below and see if you get just as excited as we did.
Michael’s trailer is the most traditional out of the three. He looks like a stereotypical protagonist who could easily appear in any other GTA game or in any episode of The Sopranos.
Franklin is portrayed as a reluctant street gangster being pushed into a life of crime by his crew. But he seems very at home when he hits the strip clubs, and police chases and gun battles with other gangs seem the norm for him.
Where Michael is the most stereotypical hero in the game, Trevor is easily the most un-traditional and seems like he belongs locked away in a padded cell somewhere. Jacking plains in mid-air and strangling old people in the street is what you can expect when you play as this madman.
So there you have it: plenty to talk about until Rockstar Games want to show us more. The slow build for this game is being handled perfectly, with its short, sharp trailers and limited screenshots giving you just enough to get enthusiastic about whilst having you beg for more. Excitement for GTA 5 will be at fever pitch when September finally rolls around.
